Our kids karate classes are a combination of traditional Shotokan Karate, exercises and games, all coming together to create young, healthy, confident children. Improving key life skills such as concentration, discipline, humility and self control.
Karate has been recognised by the National Education Awarding Bodies, allowing it to be taken by student as a part of their GCSEs and A/AS levels.
EXERCISES that help to build the correct muscle and core strength needed by elite karate practitioners.
GAMES improving tactics, hand-eye coordination, footwork, competitiveness, team work and generally having fun.
Traditional Shotokan Karate, techniques and principles taught by the KUGB that have direct roots going back to Sensei Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan Karate .
Through our local friendly club competitions we prepare our students to enter and compete in other regional and national competitions.
Attending any competition is a great way to improve your child’s karate, make friends outside of our club and meet senior important members of our association which also come and take gradings and therefore is a great chance for your child to begin to be recognised.
