After a major illness and the desire to get fitter I joined Rising Sun. Right from the start Jamie was supportive and kind, he has the special ability of knowing exactly how far he can push you to make improvements in your technique and fitness, but manages to keep things fun at the same time. I’m so pleased that I plucked up the courage to make that initial phone call, a year on I’ve done two belts, lost weight, my body works better, I’ve made some wonderful friends and I am happy. I put this all down to coming here. This is a wonderful club, you really should come along and give it a try.

My 2 boys have been part of this karate club for nearly 3 years now.
I’m very impressed with Jamie who we are fortunate to have as a Sensei. He is an excellent teacher -firm yet fun . He has truly helped them to reach their full potential.

Our Sensei Jamie Sims is inspiring and makes you strive to do your best.
