Congratulations Angela for passing your 2^nd dan grading last Saturday. The only problem with passing your 2^nd dan at such a young age is that you now have a long time to wait until you can take your 3^rd dan. Well done!

The club has a very good showing at the Portsmouth Open where the Angela won gold in the girls’ under 15 kumite, Stephania won silver in the under 10s and Petar won bronze in Kumite. Congratulations on a fantastic performance and well done!

On Saturday, 21st July, Sensei Austin, 5th dan was standing in for Sensei Sims who was away on holiday. Sensei Austin worked with the young karatekas to polish their basic techniques and particularly punching.
